From the Chesterfield Health District: Protect your family from measles during spring break travel
As spring break approaches, the Chesterfield Health District is sharing information about measles and travel safety. Families are encouraged to talk to their doctor and plan to be fully vaccinated before traveling.
Measles can be serious, especially for babies and young children. Symptoms may include a high fever, cough, runny nose, red or watery eyes and a rash that appears a few days after symptoms begin.
For more information, visit the Virginia Department of Health website. If you have questions or concerns, contact the Chesterfield Health District epidemiology team at 804-717-6440.
