SOL Academies and W!se Academies are offered in the fall, spring and summer. Students who have questions about their diploma status should contact their school counselor. 

• SOL Academy is free and open to any student who passed a class in science, social studies, math, reading or writing but did not pass the end-of-course SOL test. 

• W!se Academy is free and open to any student who passed the economics and personal finance class but did not yet pass the W!se financial literacy test and needs a career and technical education credential to graduate.

These academies will take place 3:40-5:30 p.m. Dec. 7-10 at Clover Hill High. Registration will open Nov. 13 and close at 5 p.m. Dec. 2. Students in the social studies, science or math SOL Academy will test Dec. 11 at their home school. Students in the WorkKeys reading, WorkKeys writing or W!se Academy will test while at the academy.

• Reading (English 11) WorkKeys SOL Academy (Before taking the WorkKeys reading test, students should attempt the SOL reading test twice.)

• W!se Academy

Three weeks of academies will take place at Bird High in spring 2027. Registration opens Feb. 16 and closes at 5 p.m. April 21 for these academies.

• April 26-29: This academy is open only to students planning to graduate in spring 2027. Students will test April 30 at their home school. If they do not pass the test, they should return for the next week of the SOL Academy.

• May 3-6: Students will test May 7 at their home school. If they do not pass the test, they should return for the next week of the SOL Academy.

• May 10-13: Students will test May 14 at their home school.
