Dr. Beth Morris was introduced as the new principal of Salem Church Middle.

The board recognized successful staff members, students, programs and partners.

The board recognized school bus drivers, including the 2025-26 Driver of the Year.

The board celebrated Super Radiator Coils.

Superintendent’s report

The superintendent’s report included a meaningful moments video of students talking about the new school year. He discussed the warm, successful start of the 2026-27 school year and thanked all CCPS employees for playing a part in that. He also celebrated high school students who spent time welcoming younger students to the new year. The superintendent noted that community meetings are continuing to provide information about the 1 for Schools referendum. He also shared information about the upcoming Gen AI Regional Summit, which will be held Sept. 26 at the Career and Technical Center @ Hull.
