Chesterfield County Public Schools is committed to providing students with access to high-quality instructional materials that support anytime, anywhere learning. As part of this commitment, students will be issued new Chromebooks for the 2025-26 school year for use at school and at home.

Here’s what families need to know:

  • There is no cost to receive a Chromebook; however, families may be charged for Chromebooks that are lost or intentionally damaged.

  • Students are expected to bring a fully charged Chromebook to school every day.

  • All schools have designated service desks to assist with Chromebook functionality during scheduled hours during the school day.

  • CCPS collected all Chromebooks at the end of the 2024-25 school year to prepare for new deployments; If your student did not return their previous Chromebook, they must do so as soon as school is back in session. Charges may apply for unreturned devices.

To receive a Chromebook for home use, a parent or guardian must complete the Chromebook Use Agreement Form, which outlines student responsibilities and potential fees for damage or loss. There are two ways to complete the form:

  1. Log in to your ParentVUE account and complete the form electronically.

  2. Complete and sign a paper copy of the Chromebook Use Acknowledgment Form and return it to your school’s front office.

If you do not yet have a ParentVUE account, we strongly encourage you to create one. It’s the best way to track your student’s progress, view report cards, sign important forms, and stay connected with your school.

Thank you for helping us ensure your student is prepared to learn and succeed every day.
