The School Board recognized Martín González, owner of La Milpa restaurant, for his support of Chesterfield County Public Schools.

Recognizing staff members

The School Board thanked retiring Manchester High Principal Christy Ellis and retiring Chief Operations Officer Josh Davis.

These bus drivers were recognized for outstanding performance:

  • Jasmine Capers, Area 1, Bus 793, three years of service

  • Jennifer Tolentino, Area 2, Bus 143, one year of service

  • Hope Jones, Area 3, Bus 824, 18 years of service

  • Chrissi Manfield, Area 4, Bus 509, two years of service

  • Cory Paul, Area 5, Bus 206, two years of service

These food service employees were recognized for outstanding service:

  • Teresa Shamberger, food service associate at Hopkins Elementary, seven years of service

  • Tina Wilson, assistant manager at Ettrick Elementary, one year of service

  • Luz Barajas Pineda, food service associate at Providence Middle, one year of service

The board approved memo #096-25, related to contracts for building commissioning services.

The board approved memo #097-25, updating multiple policies.

Superintendent’s report

The superintendent’s report included a meaningful moments video about this year’s Little Feet Meets, a recap of high school graduations and an overview of the 2025-26 school year.
