In advance of our 2025 Hall of Fame gala, we are highlighting this year's remarkable honorees. Join us in honoring Linda Wood and other inductees at the Hall of Fame Gala on May 1. Tickets are available now.
Linda Wood’s impact on Chesterfield County Public Schools is profound and enduring. She served in every role possible to improve elementary education, and her depth of experience is unparalleled. In fact, she is the first Hall of Fame retiree who continues to work part time for CCPS, coaching principals. Linda started as a fourth grade teacher at Harrowgate Elementary, moved to other schools in increasingly responsible roles, returned to Harrowgate Elementary as principal (2005-11), then worked as the director of elementary education. Her student-centered approach and genuine care for people sparked soaring student achievement — and recognition that few schools or principals attain (including Harrowgate’s National School Change Award). Throughout her remarkable career, Linda made a significant difference for students, teachers and families.
The 2025 inductees include: Katherine Baugher, Bessie Cooper, Kathy Kitchen, Catherine “Kitty” Neale, Brad Peebles and Linda Wood. Learn more about all our honorees on our Hall of Fame page.
