Two Specialty Centers to Choose From

M.A.D.E Academy

The Meadowbrook Academy for Developing Entrepreneurs is designed for students who are interested in learning to launch their own startups while in high school. This program is designed for any student, no matter the interests or passions, who are self-driven and have the desire to create and innovate in a collaborative environment. The core honors courses of the program, entrepreneurship, marketing, economics and personal finance, accounting, advanced entrepreneurship and dual enrollment business management create a pathway for students to establish the core principles of entrepreneurship to eventually launch a business of their own. Students will also have the opportunity to collaborate and network with industry professionals, local universities, and startups to enhance their skills and open the doors to more extensive opportunities. Students in this program will also take part in cohort level Honors M.A.D.E English 9/10 and AP Human Geography. Students in this program are required to complete 30 hours of community service hours, actively participate in DECA (co-curricular student professional organization), and attend 8 Monarch master classes annually, as well as participate in an internship between junior and senior year.

International Baccalaureate

The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programs of international education and rigorous assessment. These programs encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right. (IBO, 2010)
