MBK Chess Club

Overview

The MBK Chess Club’s purpose is to help elevate students decision making, planning, time management, self esteem, confidence and critical thinking.

Highlights

Starting in September we will provide students with beginner lessons, progress to intermediate and advanced lessons. We plan to host a Fall Classic tournament (30 minutes per player), Winter Rapid tournament (15 minutes per player), and a Spring Blitz tournament (5 minutes per player). Finally, we will look at traveling to other schools to compete.

Time Commitment

We will meet every Thursday 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
