Overview

Mission: The National Speech & Debate Association connects, supports, and inspires a diverse community committed to empowering students through speech and debate. Vision: We envision a world in which every school provides speech and debate programs to foster each student’s communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creative skills. Highlights

The Debate Club will meet on Mondays (Student Congress) and Tuesdays (Debate) from September through April. Students have the opportunity to compete in local scrimmages and VHSL tournaments.

Time Commitment

Weekly and some weekends.

How to Sign Up

Students may learn more at Club Fair on 8/26/22 during MAP and may enroll in the Canvas course using bit.ly/midlodebate. To experience all the events, note the CCPS Speech & Debate Expo will be held at Meadowbrook High School on 9/15/22 from 5:30 p.m. -7:30 p.m.
