Name of Club/Activity

Color Guard/Winter Guard

Overview

The Color Guard/Winter Guard is an award-winning performing group using dance, movement, flags, rifles, sabers, and music. The ensemble performs in the fall as part of the Trojan Marching Band and in the spring as its own performing unit.

Highlights

The Color Guard/Winter Guard is under the direction of Mrs. Kathy Ayoub. The Winter Guard is a member of the Atlantic Indoor Association and recently moved up to the Scholastic Regional A1 Division. The group routinely scores among the top groups at their competitions. As part of the Trojan Marching Band, the Color Guard adds visual impact to the musical package performed by the musicians.

Time Commitment

The Color Guard rehearses from time to time over the summer including three weeks of Band Camp before school starts. Once school starts, we rehearse after school three days a week and perform at all home varsity football games and several Saturday marching band competitions. The season basically runs through the first school marking period. The Winter Guard rehearsal schedule depends on gym availability, but it mostly goes once to twice a week in the evenings through the winter and competitions in February through March.

How to Sign Up
